Executive Director — Michael Long

Michael is a nuclear trained (submarines) US Naval Academy grad with background in relational database design and business management.  He brings 5 years on a founding board for a rural children’s museum, 9 years as a children’s museum executive director and nearly 6 years supporting educators in Colorado’s largest school district as the executive director for the administrator association.  In addition to his administrative skills, Mike is a hands-on learner who believes in the transformative power of play and he brings that lens to every discussion about exhibits, programs or themes.

Museum Administrator — Martha Belfour

With years of administrative and management experience in the for-profit sector, Martha brings excellent business skills to the Museum’s leadership and administration. She also understands the importance of providing positive visitor experiences, and recognizes strategic ways to advance the Museum to provide them.

Museum Educator – Anne Drake

Anne has twenty years’ experience delivering children’s hands-on programming in nature centers. Her enthusiasm for inquiry-based learning and her talent for inspiring curiosity in young minds make her uniquely qualified to assist in the design and delivery of the Museum’s special programs and activities.

Museum Store Manager — Diane Hubert

Unique, inventive, educational toys fill the Museum Store thanks to Diane’s imaginative, inspired management of the Museum’s retail store. A former instructor of metalsmithing at NMC and a longtime participant in the local art community, she gathers items with a variety of exceptionally creative themes in the store.
