Come visit The Great Lakes Children’s Museum in Greilickville. We believe that you and the children in your life will be excited to experience it, too.

Museum Store
The Great Lakes Children's Museum Store is open during regular museum hours. The store has a wonderful selection of educational and fun toys - from infant to pre-teen, and includes: books, puzzles, science experiments, games, plush stuffed animals, crafts, art, and much, much, more!

Water Table
Thanks to a grant from the federal Institute of Museum and Library Services, we have installed a brand hands-on water table exhibit. Visitors can interact directly with moving water, channeling and redirecting it in hundreds of different ways. The water table provides excellent opportunities for inquiry-based activities and experimentation. Visitors will be able to investigate how changing direction affects flow rates, how to create standing waves and eddies, and other properties of flowing water. Plus, it will just be big fun for visitors of all ages! This innovative and creative exhibit will be a centerpiece of our new museum experience.

Lighthouse Keeper’s Quarters
A new play space has been created directly connected to the Great Lakes Children’s Museum lighthouse. The Lighthouse Keeper’s Quarters were built with the generous support of the Port of Old Mission builders, bringing a richer level of learning and a deeper understanding into a “playhouse” environment. Learning about life in another era and understanding the lifesaving role of the lighthouses and the families who lived there is all part of the new Keeper’s quarters. Plus, the view from our lighthouse now includes a unique view of Heritage Harbor and Grand Traverse Bay.

Toddler Beach
Our new toddler gallery is designed to give children under 36 months a vivid and interesting safe area with large muscle activities, special hands-on activities, and soft seating on the floor.

Colorful, cozy, comfortable, and filled with activities for the youngest of our curious visitors, our new toddler area is sure to be a hit with the little ones.

Great Lakes Activity Room & More...
We have created an expanded activity space for programs, workshops, presentations, birthday parties, and more. The Great Lakes Room provides lots of room for all sorts of activities and a great view of West Bay.
