May 2 - Funday Sunday - Monoprints Funday Sunday returns to the Great Lakes Children's Museum for another great season of family-friendly arts activities. On Sunday, May 2, local artist Marcia Borell will guide the children through the process of making a monoprint. A monoprint is the most painterly of all printmaking. Essentially, the artist paints on a flat, non-porous surface, makes any preferred adjustments to the painting, and then presses the painting to paper or fabric. The result, after drying, is a print ready for framing. The workshop will be offered in two sessions beginning at 1:30 p.m. and again at 2:30 p.m. |
