Job Posting - Seeking Visitor Services Assistant 
This is a part-time position, with shifts throughout the week, including Saturday & Sunday. Reasonable efforts are made to accommodate a student’s academic schedule. The position involves greeting visitors and taking admissions, providing visitors with information about Museum activities and memberships, handling Museum Store sales and ensuring visitors have a good first impression of the museum. Also responsible for ensuring Museum is safe, orderly, and clean for visitors.Must be 17 years-old or older and enjoy working with children. Candidates must be welcoming, cheerful, and detail-oriented and have a customer-focused attitude dealing with visitors and staff. Must be able to work as a team member, share ideas for quality improvement, and possess good communication skills. Candidates must be able to ask questions, make suggestions and possess good decision-making skills. Must possess the composure, skill, and confidence to assist visitors at all times, including during uncomfortable situations. Also, must have experience with or be able to readily learn cash register, cash handling, and credit card transactions. The Great Lakes Children’s Museum is an equal opportunity employer.
