Council of Advocates The following community leaders have agreed to serve as on the Council of Advocates for the Great Lakes Children's Museum: Jason Allen - Michigan State Senator. Eric Bergsma - Master of Business Administration and former member of the Board of Trustees. Ralph Bergsma - Former Director of the Traverse City Convention and Visitor’s Bureau. Jeff Cash - President and General Manager of 29 & 8 - Max Media, the local ABC affiliate. Cara Piché Colburn - Co-Founder of the Great Lakes Children's Museum and past President of the Board Bryan Crough - Executive Director of the Traverse City Downtown Development Authority. Connie Deneweth - Commercial real estate developer. Gordon Friese - Engineer and businesses owner. Milton Jacobi - Educator, retired School Superintendent, and former member of Board of Trustees. Barbara Kausler - Founder of Families in Action and community leader. Doug Luciani - President of the Traverse Area Chamber of Commerce Joe McGraw - Orthopedic surgeon and co-founder of the Great Lakes Children's Museum Pam McGraw - Co-Founder of the Great Lakes Children's Museum and past President of the Board Michelle McManus - Michigan State Senator. Mike McManus - Teacher, Cherry Farmer, and former Chair of the Northwestern Michigan College Board of Trustees. Jayne Mohr - Assistant Superintendent of the Traverse City Area Public Schools. Chris Morse - A CPA with Weber Curtin & Pahssen and former member of the Board of Trustees Sue Neithercut - Educator and former member of the Board of Trustees Mary Oosterhouse - Former superintendent of the Grand Traverse Area Catholic Schools.
