+PLUS: Providing Learning for the Under Served
- +PLUS is a program created by the Great Lakes Children’s Museum to assist children, families, and educators for whom regular admission costs pose a significant obstacle to attending the Museum. The goal of the +PLUS Program is to allow under-served children to enjoy the hands-on interactive learning experiences of the Great Lakes Children’s Museum and provide disadvantaged families the chance to join in the fun and educational opportunities together.
- The program consists of free admission for individuals, school study trips, and other children’s groups. These free admissions are provided according to need, as determined by a third‑party agency, such as Northern Michigan Head Start, Child & Family Services, Women’s Resource Center, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and more.
- For more information, or to make a donation to our +PLUS Program so that more under-served children can benefit from the hands-on learning we offer, please contact the Museum.
Active Military Discount
The Great Lakes Children’s Museum gratefully supports our active duty military personnel by providing them and their families (up to 8 people) admission to the Museum at a 50% discount.
