2019 Power of Play Golf Fundraiser for the Great Lakes Children’s Museum

The Great Lakes Children’s Museum is teaming up with The Crown Golf Club in Traverse City for the 4th annual Power of Play Golf Fundraiser on Friday, May 17th, 2019. Proceeds support cultivating curious children through the Museum’s hands-on programs and exhibits. Every year, the Museum provides free or subsidized admittance to thousands of low income and at-risk local children, supported through generous community members like you.

A foursome is just $440, and an individual is $110. There are GREAT RAFFLE PRIZES from Museum partners The Crown Golf Club, Crystal Mountain, Grand Traverse Resort & Spa, Bahle Farms Golf Course, Traverse City Golf and Country Club and Elmbrook Golf Course! Prizes will be awarded for closest to pin, longest drive and lowest score overall (male/female). Get excited!

There will be exciting twists available- raffle tickets, mulligans and other games, so come ready to have FUN! Yes, there are even the Museum’s famous “Chance Cards”, playable within holes 1 through 6, 7 through 12, and 13 through 18. To understand “Chance Cards” – think monopoly. They might move you to the nearest green, or the nearest hazard! They might let you swap with the best ball in the foursome, or you might have to swap with the worst ball in the foursome! They might give you a hole in one – or automatically give you a double bogey! You never know until you open the chance card whether it will improve your standing or add a new challenge to an already fun game!

An average of 34,000 children and adults visit the museum each year. Each year, roughly 40% of the museum’s admissions are free or subsidized for low-income and at-risk groups.
