Celebrate Peace Day at the Children’s Museum on Monday, Jan. 15
School’s out on Monday, January 15th so why not enjoy a peaceful afternoon of art and educational play at the Great Lakes Children’s Museum?
A GLCM annual tradition, our Peace Day programming is designed to get young children thinking about the meaning of words like “peace,” “kindness,” and “equality.” Children of all ages will enjoy peace-themed arts and crafts while older children will also be able to learn how to visualize equality with activities like comparing the weights and volumes of different materials. All of these activities will be offered in the Great Lakes Room from 12pm to 4pm.
In addition to a host of drop-in activities, we will also be offering a special Peace Day story time at 2pm. All Peace Day programming is free to members and free with the price of admission to the general public. Because Museum capacity is limited, reservations are recommended.
So gather with us on Monday, January 15 from 12pm-4pm as we explore and celebrate peace.
