Launching this Summer at the Great Lakes Children’s Museum: Drop-off Exploration Camps
At the Great Lakes Children’s Museum, we’re determined to make summer 2024 an exploration extravaganza. That’s why we’re introducing our latest and greatest STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) program series: Drop-off Exploration Camps! Each 3-hour camp will take a deep dive into a different topic on select Thursday mornings this summer. With activities like rocket-launching, Sasquatch-searching and art-adventuring, we’re offering a camp for virtually every interest.
While the activities featured in some camps, like Mystery Detective Camp, will be making their Great Lakes Children’s Museum debut, others will sound more familiar. That’s because for a few Exploration Camps, our education team has taken past activities and made them more interactive, more detailed and more fun. For example, kids who enjoyed our Merry Mystery Sasquatch program will have a blast conducting an in-depth exploration of wildlife biology at Sasquatch Search Expedition camp. Whether reimagined or completely new, the curriculum for each camp has been carefully crafted to maximize hands-on, STEAM-based fun.
To further boost their educational STEAM power, our team designed all camp activities exclusively for explorers ages 7-10. All campers must fall within that age range with no exceptions. For information on upcoming programs intended for other age groups, check out our programs page. You can also follow us on Facebook or Instagram.
Feel free to stay and play in the Museum galleries!
Exploration camps are just $39 per child per session for nonmembers and $30 per child per session for members. Because camp registration covers the cost of admission, we invite campers to play in the Museum after pick-up. Any adults who do not have a membership should pay the daily admission fee, but kids that attend the camp should consider their admission paid for the day.
Spots for each camp are limited and pre-registration is required. Reserve your child’s spot today!
