Life Cycle of a Cherry
Life Cycle of a Cherry is the newest exhibit at the Great Lakes Children’s Museum, with many things to do with your kids. Learn how cherries got to Michigan and why they thrive in the Grand Traverse Bay area. Play the flip wall matching game to create your own cherry orchard in three seasons. Learn what trees and humans have in common. Crawl through a tunnel and discover creatures that live under the trees, leave your hand print on a heat sensitive wall, and count to 10 on pressure sensitive tiles. Try your hand at selling cherry products containing cherries in the National Cherry Festival Market OR… spend time in the Hagerty Hauling Company truck – delivering product to your “customers” (in the display of course).
