Go Squatchin’ this Winter Break at the Great Lakes Children’s Museum!

Do you ever wonder if Sasquatch is real? If so, how does it live? What can we learn about it? Your family is invited to the Children’s Museum December 26th-29th (9:30am-11:30am, 12pm-2pm, and 2:30pm-4:30pm) to help us answer the BIG questions as we embark on our Merry Mystery Sasquatch Search!

In this inventive holiday program, children are invited to participate in a scientific investigation of this mysterious creature. Participants will dissect Sasquatch “scat” (made of play-doh, feathers and other materials), investigate various animal tracks to figure out what the creature looks like and theorize the different sounds it could make based on materials found in the forest.

This program follows a no-pressure drop-in format and is free for members and free-with-admission for the general public.

Merry Mystery Sasquatch Search was designed by our Museum Educator, Anne. Anne has over 20 years of experience implementing hands-on programming in nature centers. She has been the brains behind the Great Lakes Children’s Museum’s educational programming for many years. Anne created Merry Mystery Sasquatch Hunt with more than just mythical creatures in mind. By applying real-life field techniques to a larger-than-life subject, children learn foundational concepts of deductive reasoning and wildlife biology first-hand.

So, if you like animals, science and solving mysteries, come to the Museum during any play session from December 26th-December 29th!
