The Great Lakes Children’s Museum is teaming up with the Leelanau Club at Bahle Farms for a golf benefit on May 13th, 2016. Media sponsors are 106KHQ, 104.5 BOB, and Lite 96.3 radio.
The benefit event will be an 18 hole 2 person round robin scramble with a shotgun start at 1:00 pm. The event will be followed with a dinner at 5:30 pm at the golf course. The field is limited to 120 players. Registration for individuals is $125, foursomes $400. The registration fee includes golf, cart, prizes and dinner for the golfer. Registration is being managed online through the children’s museum website (www.greatlakeskids.org) and through the museum’s Facebook page.
Sponsors are needed! Sponsorships start at only $100.00. Anyone interested in more information about hole or event sponsorships should contact email@example.com or call 231 932 4526 and ask for Lisa. More information here: Sponsorship Agreements 2016 Golf
Prizes will be awarded for unassisted closest to pin (male/female), unassisted longest drive (male/female), and lowest overall score (male/female). Mulligans, strings, and “chance cards” can be added for a fee during registration. Chance Cards (think the game Monopoly) are available for play in holes 1 through 6, 7 through 12, and 13 through 18 (one chance per set of six holes). Just as in the game of Monopoly, chance cards might improve a player’s position or make the situation worse – you don’t know until the chance is opened.
Proceeds support hands-on learning fun through the Great Lakes Children’s Museum’s programs and exhibits. An average of 33,000 children and adults visit the museum each year. Last year roughly 40% of the museum’s admissions were free or subsidized by general admittance revenues and fund-raising events. In the last year, nearly $150,000 was invested in new or updated exhibits and programs. If you haven’t been here for a while- come on in and see what you’ve been missing! A LOT has changed!
The museum is located at 13240 S West Bay Shore Drive, Traverse City, 49684. Hours are currently Tuesday through Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday, 1 pm to 5 pm. After Memorial Day, the museum opens on Mondays with the rest of the schedule remaining the same. Admission is $7 per person, ages 1 through 100.
