Merry Mystery Sasquatch Search at the Curiosity Place

Ever wonder if Bigfoot exists?

Can you imagine seeing a Sasquatch?

Believe it or not, the Curiosity Place is conducting a Sasquatch search this holiday season and we’re inviting you to join us. Come to our new location in the Grand Traverse Mall December 26th-28th from 10am-3pm to help us answer the BIG questions as we embark on our Merry Mystery Sasquatch Search!

This program follows a no-pressure drop-in format and is free for members and free-with-admission for the general public.

Skip the screens and go squatchin’!

When school is not in session, kids often have a lot of free time on their hands. As winter break approaches, parents everywhere are looking for ways to keep their kids engaged, entertained, and—most importantly—learning, without the usual temptation of screen time.   Digital devices can be a quick fix. However, there are far more enriching ways to spend those hours.

The Merry Mystery Sasquatch Search is an educational, screen-free program that encourages kids to explore, learn, and think critically. Through hands-on activities and imaginative play, kids gain a sense of accomplishment and a deeper understanding of the world around them.

What does Sasquatch eat? What sounds can it make? What does it look like?

In this inventive holiday program, children are invited to participate in a scientific investigation of this mysterious creature. Participants will dissect Sasquatch “scat” (made of play-doh, feathers and other materials), theorize the different sounds it could make based on materials found in the forest, and imagine what it looks like based on its footprints.
