Great news for children’s museum lovers everywhere! The Great Lakes Children’s Museum has joined the Association of Children’s Museums (ACM) Reciprocal Network, a group of 200 museums throughout the United States and Canada that offer discounted admissions to each other’s members. You can read ACM’s tips for using your membership benefits on their website.

What it means for GLCM Members

Any person with a Great Lakes Children’s Museum membership that is size Mbr+2 or larger can show their membership card at any participating children’s museum and receive 50% off general admission for up to 6 guests. For example, a family of 3 with a Mbr+2 Great Lakes Children’s Museum membership can visit Impression 5 in Lansing, MI and get a 50% discount off of regular admission, just by showing their membership card.

Any GLCM member can request a membership card by contacting the museum at 231-932-4526 or frontdesk@glcm.org.

What it means for members of other ACM Network Museums visiting GLCM

Any member of a participating museum who visits the Great Lakes Children’s Museum can receive 50% off the cost of general admission for up to 6 guests simply by showing their membership card to the front desk at check-in.

How to tell if a children’s museum is a member of the ACM Network

The easiest way to learn if your museum is part of the network is to look it up using ACM’s Find a Children’s Museum tool. All Museums on the map that are represented by a red “R” icon are members of the ACM reciprocal network.

The ACM Reciprocal Discount is available at children’s museums across North America. This screenshot is just an example of what you might see on the Find a Children’s Museum map if you zoomed in on Michigan and the surrounding areas.

We are beyond pleased to offer this opportunity to our members and those traveling to our Museum from afar. We hope it encourages everyone to explore, learn and play wherever they might be.
