The Great Lakes Children’s Museum is a fun and unique location for an evening party or reception. Your company party can be family-friendly, as children explore the museum while the adults celebrate, chat and network.
Or, you can host a grownups-only event that allows the inner child of your friends or business associates to have fun with the museum exhibits and the long-forgotten magic of pretending.
Our Great Lakes Activity Room is ideal for bedecking with your own decorations and tableware, and for serving the refreshments that you provide. Food is allowed in the museum with certain limitations covered by the after hours contract.
The minimum charge for an after-hours event is $200.00 (which is for 2 hours rental).
The deposit is $200.00 which covers $100 down with a $100 cleaning deposit. Should you exceed your contract time, the charge is $50 per half hour (non-prorated). In other words, should you contract for a 2 hour event, and end up sending the last guest out the door at 2 hours and 32 minutes, there will be an additional $100 charge for the overage.
Meetings/events of 40 or fewer people are free. Hosts can add up to 20 more guests at $3.50 per guest and another 20 guests (i.e., up to 80 guests) for an additional $7.00 per guest. The rate for booking a facility rental with more than 80 guests is a fixed rate of $500 (plus cleaning deposit).
