What is STEM?
STEM educates in four specific disciplines — science, technology, engineering and mathematics — in a cohesive learning method based on real-world applications. When art is incorporated in these activities, the acronym becomes STEAM.
STEM Education attempts to transform teacher-centered learning by encouraging a curriculum driven by problem-solving, discovery, and learning by doing which requires students to actively engage a challenge in order to find its solution.
