Traverse City’s Parrot Sanctuary is coming to GLCM!

Parrots are intelligent, highly social and complex beings that can live up to 80+ years. Join us on June 29th at 10:30 AM in the Great Lakes Room to meet Sheba the Macaw and Joey the African Grey when Wendy Wares of Traverse City’s Parrot Sanctuary will present an educational talk on parrot care, characteristics, diet, body language and much more.

This program is free for members, free-with admission for non-members. Because Saturday mornings at the Children’s Museum can be busy, especially during the summer, general admission reservations are recommended. Simply make a reservation for 10:30am or earlier on June 29. As always, general admission tickets are good for the entire day. That means your family will be able to flock with our feathered friends during the program and play in the museum for as long as they like until 4:30pm.
