When’s My Membership Due For Renewal?

“When’s my membership due for renewal?” That is a question we have heard many times since we reopened in October of 2020.

Members assume their memberships expired between March 2020 and October 2020. We unintentionally threw a monkey wrench into that thinking.

March 15, 2020 was Museum’s last full day of operation prior to the state ordered Covid-19 lock down. Memberships with expiration dates on or before March 15 expired as had the opportunity to renew by mail, phone or in person prior to that date.

Any membership expiring after the 15th was frozen. When we reopened on October 15, the membership expiration clock started ticking again.

The effect? Around 500+ memberships were extended 9 months. For memberships originally expiring on or after March 16, 2020 your membership expires about 9 months after the expiration date on your membership card.

We resumed sending renewal notifications in October. If you have not seen a renewal notification, your membership is more than likely still active.

The Museum is open Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays for a morning and afternoon session and on Sundays for the afternoon session only. Reservations are required and made through the website. Morning sessions begin at 10:00am and end at 12:30pm. Afternoon sessions start at 1:30pm and close at 4:00pm.

All high-touch surfaces are sanitized throughout the day, and all individual interactives from the exhibits are sanitized between uses. At night, we fog the entire facility with a medical grade disinfectant.

Because each session is limited to 20 people, we need to know exactly how many folks plan to be at any session. Members need to register just like non-members – and there is an option for that in the sign-up software. We verify membership expiration. If the membership happens to have expired, we will use either the email or phone number you used to register for guidance as to how you want to proceed.

Thanks for understanding and for your support as we are all trying to navigate the daily chaos introduced via the pandemic. We look forward to seeing everyone soon – learning through play – in a Covid conscious way.
